برای اینکه بگوییم چیزی وجود دارد از there is یا چیزهایی وجود دارند از there are استفاده می کنیم:
There is + a + …
There are + some + …
There are + exact number (two, three ,…)

There is a bag on the desk.
یک کیف روی میز وجود دارد.

There is an orange in the basket.
There's a table in the studio.

There are two chairs in Anne's office.

There are some pens under the book.
تعدادی خودکار زیر کتاب وجود دارند.

There are some office supplies in the office.

Negative Form
با اضافه کردن not به فعل می توان جمله هایی که با there is ساخته می شوند را منفی کرد.
There isn't a bag.
کیفی وجود ندارد.
There isn't an orange in the basket.

شکل منفی there are با not و any است که در گرامر بعد گفته شده است.
